On 5–6 October 2026, Nikola Kukrić, representing the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of East Sarajevo, visited BADEN in Čačak as part of the WB Maker Bridge project. The visit focused on presenting ongoing work, reviewing progress in the preparation of project content and discussing further joint activities.
A central part of the visit was the presentation of wbmakerbridge.com, the project website bringing together information about the project, partner organisations, workshops and educational materials. Its role as a shared resource for informing prospective participants, publishing news and providing access to practical learning content was presented.
The development of the website is linked to the preparation of courses and learning materials covering ESP32 development boards, sensors and other electronic components. These resources are intended to guide participants step by step, from becoming familiar with the equipment and connecting components to writing programs, reading data and developing simple functional solutions. Their purpose extends beyond the workshops: they are also intended to support independent learning, repeated practice and the further development of ideas.
Discussions with BADEN representatives addressed the next steps in workshop preparation and partner coordination. An important part of this process is connecting technical content with a learning approach that enables participants to work actively, ask questions, experiment and understand technological applications through practical tasks.
This cooperation reflects the partners’ responsibilities within the project. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering contributes technical expertise and practical learning content, while BADEN contributes learning methodology, participant engagement and an inclusive approach. Joint work on these elements is intended to ensure that educational materials, workshops and mentoring support complement one another.
The visit to Čačak enabled a direct exchange of information on the preparations and agreement on the next steps in project implementation. The website presentation also demonstrated how digital resources can support regional cooperation and help ensure that the knowledge developed through WB Maker Bridge remains accessible beyond individual events.
The WB Maker Bridge project is implemented with the support of the Western Balkans Fund and the European Union.
