How can a few electronic components and a program become a smart device? Young people will have an opportunity to explore this question at the WB Maker Bridge workshop in East Sarajevo on Monday, 26 October 2026.

The invitation is aimed at secondary school students, university students and other young people interested in electronics, programming, the Internet of Things — IoT — and practical applications of technology. The workshop will help participants connect their interests with concrete tasks and discover how simple technological solutions are developed.

The programme will focus on ESP32 development boards, sensors and the relationship between hardware and software. Through explanations and a practical approach, participants will explore how electronic components exchange information and how a program determines the behaviour of a device.

Girls and young women are especially encouraged to register. Supporting their active participation in STEM, providing mentoring and making practical learning accessible are integral to the objectives of WB Maker Bridge.

The workshop is organised within the regional cooperation between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of East Sarajevo, BADEN from Serbia and IMTM from Montenegro. Their joint work combines technical expertise, learning methodology and experience sharing to give young people more opportunities to explore and develop their ideas.

When registration is open, select “Register” to open the existing workshop application form. Complete the form and join us in East Sarajevo on 26 October.
